Don't Miss Your Biggest Content Day of the Year

Easter Sunday is your biggest content opportunity of the year. Here's exactly what to capture — and how one day of intentional shooting can fuel 12 months of content.

Easter Sunday is almost here — and if your church is anything like most, it's going to be your biggest Sunday of the year.

Full room. High energy. Families dressed up. First-time guests walking through the door. Kids going crazy in children's ministry. Worship that hits different when the house is packed.

Here's the thing most churches miss: all of that is content.

The photos and videos you capture this Sunday can fuel your website, your social media, your ads, and your announcements for the next 12 months. One day of intentional capturing can carry your entire content calendar.

So before Sunday, assign someone — even just a volunteer with a phone — to grab these shots:

📸
Photos to Grab
Wide room shot once the house is packed
Stage and setup before doors open
Worship — hands raised, eyes closed, genuine moments
Pastor preaching with the congregation visible in the background
Close-ups of people engaged — smiling, taking notes, hands up
First-time guests being greeted at the door
Volunteers serving — welcome table, parking, coffee
Kids ministry — kids laughing, having fun, engaged with leaders
Family moments — parents with kids, couples worshipping together
Altar / response moment
Tear down crew wrapping up
🎥
Video Shots to Capture
Slow pan of a packed house
Worship with hands raised (grab a wide and a close-up)
Preacher mid-sentence with the crowd visible in the background
Kids going crazy having fun
Warm greeting moments in the lobby
B-roll of setup and tear down
Candid laughing and smiling moments

You don't need a professional crew to pull this off. A solid phone, a gimbal, and someone who knows what to look for is honestly all it takes.

Pro Tip
Create a shared album or folder before Sunday so volunteers can drop photos directly into it throughout the day. You'll have everything in one place by the time the last service wraps up.

This Sunday is a gift. The energy, the people, the moments — they're all there. You just have to be ready to capture them.

Make it count.
