I'm Nick Wyss — Lead Pastor of Fervent Church in Hutto, Texas, and the founder of Ministry Hacks. Before planting Fervent, I served on paid staff at Calvary Tucson, where I got hands-on experience with church media, podcasting, and online ministry long before it felt like a necessity.
When we planted Fervent in September 2020, it was nine people and a slim budget. No media team. No marketing department. Just a small group of people trying to build something real in a new city. I had to figure out how to run livestreams, manage social media, build a website, launch a podcast, and run digital advertising — all at once, all on a church budget.
Some of it I learned the hard way. A lot of it I eventually got right. Ministry Hacks is where I share all of it.

Ministry Hacks isn't theory. Every tool, strategy, and system I teach is something I've run at Fervent Church first. Google Ad Grants, livestreaming, podcast distribution, digital ads — I manage all of it in-house on a real church budget.
Fervent isn't a megachurch. We're a small, growing church in Hutto, TX — and that's exactly the point. If it works for us with our team and our budget, it will work for you too.

When we planted Fervent, I had some media experience from my time at Calvary Tucson — but running it all yourself with no budget is a different challenge entirely. I spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, reading documentation, and trial-and-erroring my way through tools that nobody had written about for churches specifically.
Eventually it clicked. We started getting traction. Our Google Ad Grants were approved and running. Our livestream was clean. Our podcast was distributing everywhere. And other pastors started asking me how we were doing it.
